Dermal fillers are soft, gel-like substances that are injected just under the skin and adjacent to facial structures. The main ingredient in Dermal Fillers is actually a naturally occurring substance found in the body – Hyaluronic Acid (HA). When injected, fillers mimic your natural HA and address a variety of concerns such as:
- Sagging cheeks
- Loss of volume in the lips
- Under-eye circles
- Fine lines and wrinkles
Dermal fillers are an excellent alternative to surgery, affording patients a younger appearance with no down time and minimal discomfort.
What To Expect From Your Experience With Dermal Fillers
Before you come in for a filler appointment at Lakeside Med Spa, you’ll sit down with one of our licensed injectors and discuss areas of concern, treatment goals, medical history, and provider recommendations. We’ll provide a brief explanation of what to expect, and offer suggestions regarding which product best fits your needs.
Dermal fillers can last between 6-12 months and require no downtime after treatment. Additionally, fillers may be complemented with neuromodulators (like Botox or Dysport), PDO threads, or PRP/PRF (platelet rich plasma/fibrin). At your free consultation, we can determine what treatments you are a candidate for. We’re happy to take the time to pick the best fillers and accompaniments to fit your specific needs.
